Sculptor
Fran was born in Cork and grew up in Dublin. She graduated from IADT in 1987, with Distinction. In 2006, Fran founded Lambkin Design specialising in brand identity and packaging design. She studied Bronze Casting in the National College of Art & Design for several years where she discovered the beauty and potential in bronze casting. She works as a sculptor from her home in Booterstown, Dublin.
Fran draws on her local environment and the everyday interactions of the people around her for inspiration. Her sculptures are a celebration of people, nature and family life.
Fran enjoys the whole process from concept drawings through to creating the unique wax maquette and to the completion of the casting and patination processes.
